Helipad handover in Mahia

8 months ago - Sunday 6th August
• 0213 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mahia helipad for handover from St John Ambulance of a 75 y/o male patient with a medical condition, the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.

Fractured leg and suspected appendicitis

8 months ago - Saturday 5th August
• 1304 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Whakapapa Ski Field to a 46 y/o male skier with a fractured leg, the patient was flown to Palmerston North Hospital for follow up treatment.
• 1736 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Flight Nurse and our own Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 14 y/o female with suspected appendicitis.

Cardiac transfer to Wellington

8 months ago - Friday 4th August
• 0830 hours At the request of the hospital transported a male patient with a cardiac condition to Wellington Hospital, the patient was attended by a Doctor and Flight Nurse.

Car vs train, hand injury and a MVA

8 months ago - Monday 31st July
• 1015 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a report of a car versus train accident, but stood down minutes after becoming airborne.
• 1104 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with 2 Flight Nurses to retrieve a 67 y.o male patient with a severe hand injury.
• 1542 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a reported MVA on the road between Napier and Wairoa, but stood down en-route.

Patient suffering seizures

8 months ago - Sunday 30th July
• 1444 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 39 y/o male patient suffering with seizures.

Cardiac transfer to Wellington

8 months ago - Thursday 27th July
• 1247 hours Tasked by Air Desk to met a St John Ambulance in Ashley Clinton with a 70 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition, requiring immediate transfer to the cardiac unit at Wellington Hospital.

Medical transfer from Wairoa

8 months ago - Tuesday 25th July
• 1242 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 39 y/o male patient with a medical condition.

Transfer from Wairoa airfield

8 months ago - Monday 24th July
• 1318 hours Tasked by AirDesk to Wairoa Airfield to meet a St John Ambulance for a tarmac handover of a 59 y/o female patient with a medical condition – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.

Police assistance and a fall at home

8 months ago - Sunday 23rd July
• 0854 hours Tasked by Police to assist with the search and recovery of the body of a deceased person in the water near Whirinaki.
• 1547 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Wairoa Airfield to meet a St John Ambulance for handover of a 75 y/o male patient with injuries sustained in a fall at home, the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Cardiac transfer to Waikato hospital

8 months ago - Saturday 22nd July
• 1002 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Kinloch to an 80 y/o female patient, with a cardiac condition, requiring immediate transfer to Waikato Hospital’s tertiary cardiac unit. (Taupo’s Rescue Helicopter was attending an incident at Rotorua)
